Working Positively in the Intergenerational Workplace

The generation gap has become generation gaps. Workplaces now have up to 5 generations working together. A generation can be defined as a group of people who have different upbringings, socialization, communication styles and tools, experiences with technology, experiences with social media, and education experiences. Among other outcomes, this course will assist with developing strategies for bridging generation gaps in the workplace.

Topics Covered:

  • The challenge of five generations working together
  • What’s happening to force a more intergenerational workplace?
  • Working intergenerationally – what does it mean, how can we accomplish this?
  • Looking to current research

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop a better understanding for working with any or all of the five generations in today’s work world
  • Create an action plan for a positive, productive intergenerational workplace
