Currently the Director of the Queen’s Printer of British Columbia, Spencer Tickner has overseen a dramatic shift in the way citizens of BC access government information. Over the last 15 years the Queen’s Printer has navigated the disruption of the digital age by employing modern methods and strategies to ensure their services stay relevant to citizens evolving expectations.
The Queen’s Printer was one the early adopters of the Agile methodology. Because of this, Spencer has a deep and wide understanding of the nuance, pitfalls and benefits that go along with Agile implementation in a government context. Subsequently he’s worked with other areas within the BC government to assist in Agile product management and transformation. Spencer is a certified scrum master, has a background in Computer Systems, Forestry and is a current student in the Royal Roads executive MBA program
