Social media offers unlimited resources for growing your business and professional network. This course provides a foundation for professionals of all levels to develop their own real-life strategies and learn hands-on tactics to develop, manage and repurpose professional content across channels such as social networks, websites and mobile apps. Over 4 weeks, students will explore strategies to successfully design, develop and integrate their digital presence so they can forge career-building relationships, enhance their networking skills and promote their professional brand online.

  • Understand the fundamental principles of social content strategy for communications, marketing and online community support
  • Understand the technical, social and strategic differences between using the top social networks -- Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram
  • Able to identify and leverage suitable social media channels for your content
  • Understand the challenges and opportunities in presenting social content on mobile devices.
  • Able to create and document an integrated social content strategy for web, social media and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets
  • Understand various techniques for overcoming social content challenges such as plain language, repurposing, user-generated content, community management and digital media
  • Able to develop effective steady state plans for managing and repurposing social content, including how to interpret social analytics
