Resilient people demonstrate greater comfort with change, are more apt to bounce back from adversity, and establish sustainable boundaries and work/life rhythms. In this experiential course, you will explore different and insightful approaches to build resilience into your busy schedule. Learn practices that are easy to grasp, realistic to apply, and really work. You can start living a more resilient life.

Topics Covered:

  • Know yourself well, your strengths, your values, and your self-limiting beliefs
  • Set clear goals, both long term and short term
  • Lighten up, build more fun into your life, and stop taking yourself so seriously
  • Persevere, becoming more resilient won’t happen overnight
  • Embrace paradox and uncertainty, life is complex; we need to embrace that and stop trying to simplify everything

Learning Outcomes:

  • A clear understanding of five practices that can improve personal resilience
  • A strategy for implementing each practice in their busy schedules

This course can be taken on its own or as part of the Management Skills for Environmental and Sustainability Professionals Certificate.
