Breaking Through the Shame Barrier: Daring to Lead Yourself with Courage

This workshop incorporates elements of Dr. Brené Brown's research on shame and vulnerability. Through experiential activities, participants will explore shame's role in 'keeping us small' and how to step into courage and vulnerability for greater fulfillment. Tools and strategies for continued personal growth beyond the classroom will be provided.

Topics Covered:

  • Define five key elements required in courageous personal leadership
  • Explain the dimensions of trust and their importance in building relationships
  • Have a deeper understanding of how values can support courageous behavior and impact unwanted identities and shame
  • Describe the experience of practicing vulnerability
  • Be equipped with tools and strategies to build resilience and support them in continuing the practice of courageous personal leadership beyond the classroom
